Scooters vs Tuk Tuk
May 1, 2018

At home I have a collection of model scooters from places I’ve travelled.
There’s one for most states in Australia (I’m still gathering those) plus a few from overseas. Every trip is a challenge to find a unique model scooter. My favourite so far is made of fine rolled pieces of silver (from Bali). It’s true art; magnificent.
All over Sri Lanka Ive looked for a keepsake scooter but there’s only tuk-tuks available.
So do I compromise my collection with something less than a two wheeled scooter?
Compromise is like a train. It moves forward with increasing speed and is hard to stop. Worse of all, compromise doesn’t present the best end result. It will always be lacking.

‘But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.’
Matthew 6:33
Jumping ahead of God’s timing is a compromise on His perfect plan. The story of Abraham, Sarah, Hagar and Esau is a perfect example (Genesis 16). Sure, taking shortcuts gets us somewhere or something faster, but is it worth having at the end?
If we can focus on seeking & knowing his heart, sooner or later He will bring about the BEST outcomes & greatest treasure for our lives.
