Promise to Persist

Isaiah 62:1 Because I love Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet. I will not stop praying for her until her righteousness shines out like the dawn, and her salvation blazes like a burning torch. 🌿 Does the Lord give up on His dreams for our restoration and transformation? No. Israel had abandoned God repeatedly throughout the time of the Kings. They were impossibly stubborn and susceptible to following the religious patterns of surrounding nations. It was a heartache to the Lord, that eventuated in their exile to Assyria and Babylon. However, this promise in Isaiah showcases the Lords persistence in hope. ‘I will not keep silent... ‘I will not keep still... ‘I will not stop praying... UNTIL YOU are all I dream of as a testimony of who I am’ As I reflect on my journey of growth, I’m grateful for the Lord’s grace and determination in never giving up on a Christlike version of Aliki. He prays for us, yearns for us and dreams of our best days ahead. Father thank you for persisting with us your children; for the hope we have in your promises and power
