Live in the view

This wall, embedded with broken glass and razor wire is a pointed ‘keep out’ sign (pun intended). It was on one side of a hotel where I stayed, and the other side was ironically accessible to anyone. Peering through the shards at the beach and sunset, I felt the view was unnecessarily spoiled and that I was somewhat emprisoned. 🐚 In life’s journey I’ve put up a wall or three, to keep things out. But in many ways they kept me from the fullness of life. Why? Because I was not dealing directly with the underlying fear or issue. The wall bought me time and a sense of protection. But in reality I was hiding. Emprisioned & disempowered. How much better to live in the view and learn to trust God with our fears or issues. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 Instead of spending time building walls, He asks us to spend time growing in faith and submission.
