We left for Yeppoon a few hours ago.. the ministry tour has begun. In the last week people have been asking “Are you excited, I bet you’re excited”. I have to say...
honestly the answer is ‘no’. Excitement is probably the wrong word. I feel very emotionally ‘sober’. There has been a lot to organise. My brain and body have been totally consumed by logistics, and time with God has been during packing, during moving, during everything. Hardly ideal, and I long for tomorrow for some spiritual intimacy.
The past 4 weeks have been a blur and flurry of physical activity. Only this morning as we hum along the road, through morning mist do I feel the peace and quickening of the Holy Spirit. As each kilometre rolls by I am being refreshed for the weeks ahead. Sitting beside me are freshly sealed and stamped promotional packs for all the churches in our July to October run. Rob and I will pray over them soon and stick them in a mail box. They will go ahead of us, making way for us to share the astounding heart and character of God in many settings. That excites me.
Talk to you soon, Aliki. |
