It was to be a long day of travel. An endless landscape between Broken Hill and Mildura. We were driving Ivy (our Iveco Daily) into a head wind which always decreases our fuel economy. At the recent encouragement of Bill Johnson I decided to "practise" my spiritual authority. I wound down the window, stuck my head outside and bellowed with a grin on my face "get ye behind us wind and push us to Mildura". Amused with myself...
I put the window up, smiled at my husband and waited. The road side grasses were blowing in the wind, I watched them intensely to see a change in direction and the answer to my prayer. As I eagerly watched the grass, the road began to change direction and by default the wind was almost behind us. The Holy Spirit grinned at me and said “sometimes you ask for the wind to change, but you just need to change direction”. Touche!
