"House of I AM"

The recording process is one I enjoy. Especially in the company of an insanely creative producer and brilliant muscians. We had both of these for this project. Most of the tracks were recorded last December at " The "Grove Studios" Gosford (owned by Mark & Darlene Zschech). It's finally off the press! The journey and wait has been worth it.

HOUSE OF I AM (12 tracks) possesses a pop savvy sound, that has been compared to the guitar soaked energy of U2. Our producer Phil Slade (Propane) infused the arrangements with wonderful diversity and taste. On many occasions I had to sit back and quietly trust his judgement in the creative process. Quietly trusting, requires humility.. something that never goes astray.

HOUSE OF I AM explores the themes of spiritual intimacy, surrender & sacrifice. It moves one step on from "Signs of Grace" in terms of message. Once we have understood the grace God treats us with... how does that understanding then affect our view of God & our responses to life? If our views & responses continue in brokeness we need to revisit SQUARE ONE - the Grace Case. The lyrics reflect where I have been soaking my heart and mind in the past 2 years. The teachings of Graham Cooke have moved and shaken me. So much so that track 7 is an ode to his teaching. It actually has me giggling all through it!!! (another Phil brainwave)

Special features include: guest performances by Adrian Ross on Didgeridoo (who just happening to be passing through Gosford on the last day of recording), Phil Hirvella from Planet Shakers (who is wildly funky, leaving a great mark on the project), Mark Peric who plays for Guy Sebastian & Planet Shakers and an epic review of the classic hymn “It Is Well With My Soul” (one of Phil S favourite tracks)

Shaping Up

Next month we revisit North Qld regional areas. I look forward to bringing new messages in song.

It's been a pleasure to share at several fund raising events for High School Chaplains (Biloela, Clifton & Yeppon). We strongly endorse this work of Scripture Union & always enjoy participating in the unity of small communities.

I will be opening with 3 songs for Compassion Australia who are holding a "Thank You" evening for Compassion supporters in Qld (20th May). Love the ministry of Compassion and anticipate a blessed night for all.

The "Purpose Driven Youth Ministry" conference takes place in June. I will be sharing as a guest artist with some challenging thoughts. There are other conferences on the Calendar
