Worship Conference SG-06

We are excited to be involved in an emerging worship conference taking place in Ballarat 18-19th August. The Ballarat Christian Outreach Centre began this event a few years ago with a desire to see worship teams personally refreshed and inspired by participating...

in a weekend of worship, prayer, song writing and fellowship. This conference will foster an atmosphere of intimate connection with heaven. My heart has been ticking over many new things to share. It will be the beginning for me in teaching and singing about how to stand, be still and be silent. A theme you will detect when another album is eventually recorded.

Family Matters

Many of you know we travelled without our children for most of last year. This was a difficult and faith stretching time for me (mum). It was a season that taught me many spiritual and parenting lessons I could not have gained any other way and so I praise the wisdom of God. I joyfully report that the season (of extended seperations) has ended and the kids are with us again full time. Our current base with the caravan is on beautiful Tamborine Mountain (my mum-in-law's property) and Zinta and Alex are blazing great trails at a new school.

Our plans are to spend more weekdays at base and travel weekends, even if this means more flying. We plan to take the kids on tour in semester 2, taking material from their school and a nanny to assist with tutoring. The caravan and annexe will become a classroom during this time.

Australian Gospel Music Festival

It's just around the corner bigger and better than ever... how is this possible? Every year the AGMF bursts onto the Easter scene with such passion and energy. I will be performing there again (Saturday lunch time), along with many other outstanding Australian and overseas artists. I just sold a family pass yesterday in Grafton to a mum and dad who are taking their 7 children! Have a family conference soon and consider going. Treat yourselves to an Easter your family will never ever forget. www.agmf.com.au.

An Aliki Story: Change in the Wind

It was going to be a long day of travel. An endless landscape between Broken Hill and Mildura. We were driving Ivy (our Iveco Daily) into a head wind which always decreases our fuel economy. At the recent encouragement of Bill Johnson I decided to "practise" my spiritual authority. I wound down the window, stuck my head outside and bellowed with a grin on my face "get behind us wind and push us to Mildura". Amused with myself I put the window up, smiled at Rob and waited. The road side grasses were blowing in the wind, I watched them intensely to see a change in direction and the answer to my prayer. As I eagerly watched the grass, the road began to change direction and by default the wind was almost behind us. The Holy Spirit grinned at me and said ″sometimes you ask for the wind to change, but you are the one who needs to change direction.″ Touche!
