2 Corinthians 5:7 " We walk and live by faith not by sight"

As our assurance of God's faithfulness grows, we can live life with an obedience that abandons fear. Recently Rob and I have taken 3 steps of faith which have encouraged us greatly and this short note is to update and inspire you.

Step One Opals - Ministry DVD

Firstly, we have officially released on DVD the first of Aliki's teaching series. Aptly titled "The Ministry Series" each video captures Aliki in full flight of ministry sharing stories, songs and ministering the word of God. This video presentation incorporates the message and the visual backdrops. The first in this series is "Opals", a 65 minute presentation tracing the journey of the Opal from the barren ground to a piece of jewelery. This journey is paralleled with us in the hands of a loving master craftsman. "Opals" is a stunning analogy which has had great impact across this country. It can be purchased through the website.

Step Two

Step of faith number two: Now that we are based on Tamborine Mountain with our children, recent ministry has been within a driving radius of Brisbane (right down to Grafton NSW). This is not sustainable long term since our heart's desire is to minister right across Australia and still minister in remote areas. Our solution is simply to purchase cheap airfares on a regular basis, no matter the destination and seek out ministry to fit (this is the faith part)..What this means in practical terms is we are no longer locked into a 4 month inflexible tour itinerary Our first stop on this plan is Adelaide 26th -29th May and ministry opportunities are opening already. Having said all this, some trips to the NT and WA will require a few weeks away from home.

Step Three

Another step of faith is a financial one. We have always had a "no set fee" policy for church services. But we've set fees for conferences and large events. Rob has felt for a long time that it's inconsistent to have two policies, and deviates from God's specific vision for the way we do ministry. This is no reflection on artists who have a fee structure.... each call and journey is unique. We have now changed to have, no set fee for any ministry, we leave financial support totally at the discretion of the organisation. - no matter where or what it is. Surely if God is faithful, He is faithful in ALL things, not half things.

AGMF

Aliki shares the gospel on Easter Sunday

Also fresh in our hearts is the “Australian Gospel Music Festival” which took place this weekend in Toowoomba, attended by approx. 30,000 people from across Australia and the world. It was again (4th year for us) an amazing time of sharing in song, re-connecting with people we've met all over the country and making new friends. Aliki delivered the Easter Sunday message at Withcott Church of Christ to a joyful crowd filled with expectation of the goodness of God. It was a very special and powerful time together. AGMF is a testimony to the unity of Toowoomba's diverse christian community. What they have achieved in partnership with AGMF visionary Isaac Moody, is nothing short of phenominal. We are always honoured to be included in their ministry.

So...

Consistency is one of the challenges to the faith walk. In some circumstances we walk boldly and in others we worry and fret, and yet the God we trust during the bold moments is equally present and powerful in the difficult circumstances. As I hinted earlier "The more we exercise faith, the more it grows, the more it conquers, the more freedom we live in". So friends when you 're faced with the next challenge there is only one question to ask, not "Why?" but "Who" "Who is faithful?".

With Love

Aliki
