A slight accent gives away her country of origin. Her name adds confusion to the matter. Aliki was born in Auckland New Zealand and arrived on Australian soil at the age of 9. A Greek heritage left her with a name that always raised questions and skin that loves the sun. ‘Aliki’ means "truth", appropriate given a search that led her to Christian faith. Rob & Aliki quit their jobs and a conventional lifestyle in 2004 to tour outback Australia with kids in tow. Work on a second album began during this time, "House of I Am" took place at the famed "Mangrove Studios", now "The Grove Studios" at Gosford NSW. Aliki's 3rd album "Promise" was produced by Steven Dix in 2007 with beautiful results. A teaching series on DVD was launched with the success of "OPALS" with many more to be filmed. Today Aliki's gift of communication brings inspiration to Australians from all walks of life and faith. From city crowds of 5000 people to indigineous communities, drug and alcohol rehab centres, businessmen gatherings, politicians and women's conferences - there is something of heaven in store and powerfully delivered to each and every one. Aliki, Rob and their two children, Zinta and Alexander live on beautiful Tamborine Mountain (Gold Coast Hinterland), are members of Liberty Church Fellowship, and work up to 200 engagements a year. |
